This single pot still whiskey is aged for a full 12 years in three different types of casks – bourbon, sherry, and Malaga wine – resulting in a complex flavor profile that includes notes of honey, red pepper, and creme brûlée.Interestingly, the “Spot” in Yellow Spot’s name comes from the old practice of marking barrels with colored spots of paint to indicate their age and quality. Yellow spots signified whiskey that had been aged for 12 years, making it the most mature and sought-after in the Spot Whiskey range.
