“Sunset Boulevard” is a 15-year-old single malt from a secret Orkney distillery, matured in an Oloroso Sherry quarter cask. This 2007 vintage expression at 65.8% ABV combines island heather-smoke with intense sherry influence.

Finished and reracked in a Fernando de Castilla Oloroso Quarter Cask on 6 October 2020. It received an additional 19 months of maturation in the sherry cask.

TASTING NOTES
Nose: Rich dried fruits like raisins and figs are prominent, layered with maritime sea spray and heather smoke. A nutty undertone of walnuts and dark chocolate provides a deep, savory base.
Palate: Concentrated and spicy due to the quarter cask maturation, offering flavors of Christmas cake, clove, and salted caramel. The Orkney peat provides a subtle, earthy counterpoint to the sweetness.
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering notes of dark fruit, leather, and a touch of dry sulfur. The final impression is rich, complex, and intensely flavored with oak spice.
