Ferrand’s 1840 Original Formula was inspired by the cognacs used in 19th century cocktails. Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel enlisted the help of cocktail historian David Wondrich to create a richer, livelier, and higher proof cognac to stand up to mixing and diluting. The nose presents beautiful aromas of white flowers, orange, peach and honey. A full-bodied palate offers notes of bitter orange peel, stone fruit flavors, and lingering vanilla and oak. Bottled at 90 proof.
